If Tkachuk falls to 7 I could see something there but the Canucks would be adding and with their garbage roster I am not sure what?

Vacationing in the states right now and god their draft coverage makes me miss Canada
I’d rather not trade Hamilton to a division rival, especially the Canucks.

I don't think there is a chance Tkachuk falls past #5, but your point is duly noted: the Canucks have nothing the Flames would want outside of what they would be unwilling to part with.

I don’t think the Flames are that desperate to draft Tkachuk. He is likely a year or two from playing, so they would be giving up players that will help immediately for a player several years away from being a contributor at the same level. Unless Treliving is going into a rebuild, that would be a stupid move. We already have the better Tkachuk. We’re good.

Wahlstrom should be another figure the Flames covet. SHOULD. I just .... why trade into that grouping with one single player in mind when theres three or maybe 4 if you're into D men that should be there.

Hope that Ryan exceeds expectations on our 1L and get a do over with the 4th overall pick. don't lose any D man, get an upgrade on the top 6 in the short term, and pick up another highly rated prospect for the long term.
