I'm sure that's what he said. Based on his posting here he was arrogant and egotistical far beyond his actual ability, and as a Trumpster, probably points the finger at everyone other than himself.

In my admittedly limited media training, one of the first tenants is "assume the microphone is always on". Language like what he used will get you reprimanded or canned in most serious professions, so I guess he's lucky he works for POS Sportsnet.

His single abysmal year as a PbP guy for the Flames (remember his pronunciation of "Tanguay"?) confirmed (for me at least) he was a dope.

His politics appear to have confirmed it for many others as well.

Not good enough? I'm sorry, that's an odd response. People who support that crap don't deserve respect because they support people who have no respect for others.
Oh please. Justin is going to go down as one of the all-time worst PM’s this country has ever had. Shall we start ostrisizing people that support him? People get far too carried away with politics.

I know you didn't just compare Justin Trudeau to Donald Trump...

I mean, I see it written, but it can't possibly be reality, can it?

I think even you know that this post is a silly comparison.

Not good enough.

I deal with Americans daily. Despite what the media may have you believe a lot of Americans are very happy about their booming economy. Canada is a mess right now.

When it comes to being a good poster and contributor to this site I can say unequivocally you aren’t good enough. As Jiri said your zingy one liners got old a long time ago.

I don't have time to get into a long debate about this, but economic policy is only a small fraction of governing a nation. This is a major failing of Americans to not understand how dangerous it is to trade a short term economic bubble (because believe me, that bubble is going to burst in the next year or so) for long term cracks in the foundation of their nation.

It's not worth it, not even a little bit.

BTW, I'm in Canada right now. Seems fine to me.

The economy is perhaps the thing that a president has the least control over. And the economic trends in the US are on a straight line starting from Obama's tenure, anyway.

See... Estrada's "team" is on a losing streak so he thinks everything is zomg bad when in actuality you're right, things are just fine.

Yeah guys, whatabout Trudeau??

Trump is a fascist, narcissistic, dictator wannabe, imprisoning babies and children. His idiotic and shortsighted trade bluster is going to impact the economy, and negatively. Anyone who is still supporting him is abhorrent. Full stop.

Just wondering how good do you think their economy would be doing if he brought in a carbon tax? Sometimes it’s not what you do but what you don’t do.

Exactly, but America is famously a nation governed by laws, and you have a president who seems to be uninterested in laws unless he agrees with them.
The fact that people seem to be ok with this means that they either don't understand how their country works (very likely from who I speak to) or they just don't care if it all falls apart at this point. This problem likely comes from the fact most Americans haven't lived in countries where the laws are malleable depending on who's in power, and I would be willing to bet they wouldn't like their country anymore if Trump got his way.

But back to the topic at hand... Roger Millions Poor Broadcaster is still retired, and Roger Millions Trump Cultist lost the nomination battle.

I call that a very good day.

Trudeau’s saving grace has been Canadian’s preoccupation with Trump. The guy is flat out a horrible PM but I see things have already degenerated into a political argument which is simply boring.

How good would it be doing....fine? Does anyone realize how little a carbon tax would really affect Americans at this point? America is now a tech, finance, and service economy. Fossil fuel taxes hurt the consumers more than big businesses in America.

I don't know what you guys are reading in Alberta these days, but I get the sense that someone is doing a good job of demonizing carbon taxes because the oil and gas industry is so strong there. It makes sense if your living is tied intimately to that industry, but if not, try reading some more on the subject.

Hey, don't blame me! Jiri requested that we engage in a thoughtful debate.

Also, don't get into a debate if you're going to slink out the minute you start to lose.

I mean you're the one who bizarrely brought him up in some false equivalency to Trump's abhorrent policies. But ok.

This is really only said about live broadcasting.

If you don't think reporters swear and get frustrated when they are pre-recording for a segment, you are completely out to lunch. There should have been no risk for Roger to believe one of his bloopers would be purposely aired as a prank.
