This works out better for the next round, Iran will have to score against Portugal to advance.

The TSN analysts showed their formation had the centre forward about 14m ahead of the back line.

I think the worst thing about Iran playing that way is it was so close to working. There is no reason not to take a shot at it in that sense. Sure, it's terrible, but imagine if they scored on one of their chances and Costa doesn't get the lucky ricochet off his knee? I would be so disappointed if Canada made it to the WC one of these times and then played anti-football though. I can't stand watching it, and it just reminds me of this kind of stupidity:VIDEO

Yeah and discipline is great, but seriously what fan can get into a couple hours of that? It's just terrible.
I realize Canada hasn't played that way, and thankfully so. I think I would rather my team lose than not attempt to play.
