I don't necessarily agree with CliffFletcher's take on Hamilton, and I am not convinced that he is the root of "intensity issues" identified by Treliving, but the circumstantial case he makes is certainly not a "ridiculous leap." It appears pretty plausible to me.

It will be interesting to see the articles written afternthebFlames make thwirnroster moves this summer. Francis teased he wanted to expose the Flames he thought were at the root of the culture issue in Calgary but he wisely has held off since he has to go in that room and face those guys all the time.
I anticipate Francis to write a smear article about the core player traded this summer

Turning down international invites brings his character and compete into question?
Not buying it. Especially when presented the way it was to fit his long held narrative on the player. I think it's a big leap the way it was constructed and presented.

If there indeed is a culture problem it should be rooted immediately. I don't care who the player is.
Dysfunctional teams never win anything.

Not on its own, no. But I do think it is not so inconceivable as to dismiss outright.

That's fine. But "not buying it" is a pretty far cry from a "ridiculous leap."

In your view. But it's really semantics.
From the assertion that he turned down a worlds invite essentially claiming we know he had no reason (we don't) to it equalling "That should give some insight into Hamilton's give-a-crap meter" is a ridiculous leap to me.
If you don't like that wording that's fine.

So that was interesting...
Pierre LeBrun says the Flames have been in conversations with the Hurricanes with the names of Dougie Hamilton, Elias Lindholm and potentially Noah Hanifin being involved.
Darren Dreger goes on to say seconds later that Hamilton WILL be traded, although I think I might've misspoke at that specific moment.

TSN just discussing Carolina possibly looking at moving Lindholm if they cannto get a deal done, discussions not going well, and mentioned Calgary interested and that Hamilton could be part of the deal, maybe a bigger deal that could include Hanifin as well.
Hamilton
for
Lindholm
Hanifin
I think this could be start of a deal

I would be all over Lindholm and Hanifin for Dougie but not if the Flames are adding to that deal.

They reel in Hanafin and Lindholm, you can move Brodie to the top RD, Hanafin gets a rock solid partner in Hamonic and Kulak Andersson develop on pair 3.
That'd be slick. I don't even care if there was an add on from the Flames.
I want Lindholm on this team. So bad. He's a very versatile addition to the Flames fw ranks. RH, Can play #2 C, #3 C, #1 RW all the way through the lineup. He consistent at least. He hasn't taken off like Monahan has but he is good. I feel like he'd be the super ideal line mate for Tkachuk and Bennett.

I'm know that plus/minus is a flawed stat, but those two guys are on the bottom third of Carolina's rosterat that metric. I don't get to see carolina much, so what am I missing here?

Too much smoke surrounding Hamilton, I think he gets moved at the draft or in the next month.

GioforPM sure loves to try and discredit any poster who even mentions the slightest idea of Hamilton being traded, I almost want for it to happen just to see the reaction/fallout at this point.
Either way I dont care, I'll keep Hamilton or trade him to make us better and I'm keen to theorize what we may get for him.
Lindholm + Hannifin for Dougie? Seems like a nice start.

It would be a good step in our ongoing quest to acquire all 30 players drafted in the first round in 2013.

Hanafin has been reported as having all the tools to be elite. no toolbox. Metaphore for high end hockey iq.
Lindholm, He's their Bennett I suppose. But better. Much better.

On bad teams, the players with the worse plus/minus are usually those that play the most and get the toughest minutes.
No idea if this is applicable here though, just a general comment.
