But. Like mentioned in previous post, losing McNabb forces Reid to call more runs, which hopefully will give confidence to the run game. The secondary is still good. Ultimately, the run-defense will cause them to miss the playoffs -- not the QB/offense. That Jacksonville game was so brutal, exposing the Run-D, and teams are picking up on that.

I agree. I'm confused as to how they still allow the huge ground gains.......patterson and Walker are both good DT's up the middle who I thought would be a big help in stopping the run.
Losing Jevon Kearse was pretty huge as well.

Buckhalters big and quick but he can't hit a hole to save his life and is not shifty at all. He's had a couple TD's this year because of his speed, but he can't beat a linebacker except to the outside. He also fumbles alot and is extremely injury prone. The eagles will have a tough choice at the draft next year in choosing between a power back and a run-stopping linebacker.

Patterson is good but he is a small DT.
I would have thought that with Trotter in there at MLB they would have been better against the run. In the past he has been a top LB in the NFC. Haven't seen much of their games this year to know how he is playing. Also with Lewis and Dawkins at safety you would think they would be pretty good against the run.

McNabb's size is a benefit, but Garcia sure seems to be doing a great job and whereas McNabb seemed to skip a few easy throws off the turf short, Garcia is giving nice balls to catch.
Are the Eagles better with Garcia?

Where are all these gay Garcia rumours coming from? I know TO hinted at it, but didn't Jeff date that playmate of the year recenly? I think her name was Carmela Descara or something like that
She was a smoke show!!!

The commercial with Garcia doing neighbourhood watch using an umbrella as a cane certainly didn't project the most macho image.
I think Forbes or Joe Sports was the first place I heard the rumour, but yeah, I also heard he had a playmate as a girlfriend.

Until a couple of weeks ago I didn't even know who Jeff was playing for. Now I'm an instant bandwagon Eagle's fan. Go Garcia go.

Hmm -- that sounds like an intriguing idea. It'd be hilarious, but quite novel though -- he's UFA, and could probably land a starting job elsewhere next year. If the Eagles manage to make the Superbowl, I might want to do that though, purely for the novelty of it.

Well, looks like Garcia just got pulled.
That'll teach me to start him on my fantasy team.

Yeah, with Dallas losing today Philly locked up the division. Nothing to play for so no sense in risking an injury.
