Default Living in Renfrew

Hi All,

Wife and I are looking at moving to the Renfrew community - any reviews good/bad about there?

Place we are looking at is close to her work downtown, and seems to be on a quiet street.

Any advice is most welcome!

All the cool kids live in Renfrew. Are you a cool kid?

I've lived here for about 8 years now. It's a nice community. Pretty quiet. Quick access to 16th and Deerfoot if you're getting out of the city, and also quick to get downtown if that's where you're going.

My now-husband lived in Renfrew before we met and while we were dating. It’s a great community. Like Bridgeland-lite. The only downside I can think of is airplane noise. If that doesn’t bother you then it’s a great inner city community imo.

I Second Getbak.Been here a few years. Great spot with easy access to Deerfoot and DT. Close to the path ways for biking or running. Bridgeland is down the hill. Love it here

Weird. I can't remember the last time I heard a plane flying overhead. Maybe it's worse if you're on the east side, closer to Deerfoot. I'm closer to Edmonton Trail, and the airplane noise is virtually non-existent.

Lived here for 6 years this summer. I love the neighbourhood. Tonnes of kids around, quiet and everyone is friendly. Great access to everything and you’re up the hill so there’s less transients. Cycling up the hill sucks though.

I hardly notice the planes, much quieter than Inglewood where I lived prior.

121 steps on the staircase by the church. I've climbed those many times while less than sober.

I lived on 8th ave near Edmonton trail and it was great. If you're cycling up from downtown the climb is much easier if you take the Centre St bridge.
