Nice to see the Bruins layin the smack down again. I think this is the third time we've beaten the Sabres this year. Just about half our wins. Oh how the times have changed in Boston. Check out the three stars:

Game Stars
1 - Garth Murray (BRU)
2 - Taylor Pyatt (BRU)
3 - Mike Weaver (BRU)

All good things must come to an end. Canadiens show the after effects of the night of celebration. Completely embarassed by the Devils tonight. A lot of guys still showing the wear and tear of the concentrated schedule.
No time to lick the wounds as the Habs are right back at it versus the sabres tomorow night.

Well the wounded Jackets find a way to prevail with a 3-2 win. After taking a few games off, Scott Niedermayer reminded me why I acquired him with a goal and assist and first star honors. Brent Johnson also puts forth a good effort winning his third straight descision for the Jackets. Erik Cole and Peter Cajanek are finally healthy enough to play again. Unfortunately Ossi Vaananen suffered a injury late in the third and is listed as day to day. With the win we remain 7th in the Howe which is pretty tightly bunched from teams 7 to 12.

Leafs beat Pens in battle of special teams
Jussi Jokinen scored a power play goal and added 2 shorthanded markers to give him the hattrick. However that was not enough to power the Pens past the Leafs Wednesday night. The Leafs went 3-7 on the PP and scored the winner with Chris Chelios in the box with just over 2mins to play. Olaf Kolzig who is struggling as of late allowed 5 goals for the 2nd consecutive game after a strong start in the Pens uniform. The Pens have a day off before they play the Oilers Friday Night.

Hawks manage to get a win agains the Jets. Sean Burke gets a shutout even! AND his CD doesn't fall in the crapper.

Tomorrow the Wings.

HOWL!

Yotes and Sharks shoot the lights out.

The 2 teams combined for a season high 77 shots (44 Pho – 33 SJ). The best thing is the Coyotes scored more winning 6-3.

Our PK continues to climb killing 6 more opponent opportunities. With 3 unsportsmanlike-conduct penalties the Coyotes sent a message that they do not appreciate all the injuries lately. Perhaps it worked as no Desert Dogs were injured last night.

Game Stars
1 - Michal Handzus (COY)
2 - Mike Johnson (COY)
3 - Colin White (COY)

Next up the Boston Teddy Bears.

Avs didn't show up...perhaps they were looking forward to tonight's game of the week vs the Panthers. With all the talk of the Gretzky being superior, the Avs are determined to upset the league-leading Panthers tonight. Maurice has the boys ready for this one!

Sean friggin Burke shuts us out. What a lousy effort. Expect a few more line up changes. Conklin gets the start tonight.

I didn't say anything about winning. In fact, with Carnival boy in goal I expect to lose but hopefully we score at least one goal.

Dany Heatley leads the way as the Hurricanes take it to the visiting St. Louis Blues in what looked like a lopsided 7-1 shinny game. The game started off as a close checking affair well into the 2nd period as each team took turns gaining momentum. Into the 2nd period the Blues aggressive play started to catch up with them as they found themselves short handed more and more. The ‘Canes seized the moment, tallying 4 powerplay goals on route to a clear cut victory.

Game Stars

1st - Dany Heatley
2nd - Mike Rathje
3rd - Anson Carter

Leafs finally get a W. Seems like this team is almost better without Datsyuk than with him.

Joni Pitkanen scores twice and York/Fisher have 2 points each. PP finally came to life and scored 3 times. Leafs outshot the Pens so a good all around team effort. Turco wasn't too good but got away with it.
