A lot of Liberal Cabinet Ministers will be brushing up their resumes tomorrow.

Quote:
n Ottawa Centre, Attorney General Yasir Naqvi lost his seat, finishing second to New Democrat Joel Harden.

Energy Minister Glenn Thibeault, a New Democrat turned Liberal, lost to the NDP’s Jamie West in the Sudbury riding.

Steven Del Duca, minister of economic development, lost his seat in the Vaughan-Woodbridge riding to Tory Michael Tibollo.

Christine Elliott, a three-time loser in bids to lead Ontario’s Progressive Conservatives, unseated Liberal Environment Minister Chris Ballard in the Newmarket-Aurora riding.

And Treasury Board President Eleanor McMahon lost to Tory Jane McKenna in the Burlington riding.

Add former finance minister Charles Sousa

The popular vote's a bit of a surprise to me, I expected it to be closer, but it feels like the Voters were tired of the idea of a spending addicted government and really rejected the NDP message in the end.

The Liberals have to take some heart at 6 to 7 seats though they could still lose official party status unless Ford grants it to them, but they do have about 20% of the popular vote which is surprising. But its clear that the Liberals are going to have to rebuild their party.

It's just the Ford flavoured disaster this time.
Harris did an okay job over his term, Cut services too much and offloaded to much onto the municipalities to cut taxes in addition to the deficit slaying. But Maguinty onward was a disaster. So 2002-2018 is a piss poor run by the liberals

The only noisier place than Fords campaign headquarters, will be the shredding room at Queens park.

That's going to be interesting, I'm sure that there's some panic in Ottawa as in the next year they could be facing a bunch of provinces in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario that are hostile to the carbon tax.

Time for Ontario to recover from the Wynne disaster.

One of the Atlantic provinces too I think, can't remember which one.

TMX will be held over Alberta to keep us in line and that is a smart one for Alberta and Saskatchewan to cave on. You just reduce taxes elsewhere and a carbon tax has minimal impact. Its a pick your battles scenario.

Well this thing is over.

In terms of seats

It looks like the PC's will finish with 75
NDP with 39
Liberals with probably 7
Greens with 1

Popular vote
PC's 40.47
NDP 33.64
Libs with 19.53
Greens with 4.75

I would expect that Wynne who is in a tight race in her seat with a 200 vote lead has stepped down. I would expect that at the next NDP convention that Horwath will be sent packing.

I think that would have worked if Kinder Morgan had stayed in, but if the Feds threaten to poop can something that they spent 4.5 billion tax payer dollars on the voter outrage would be huge.
