Well, we have to cheer for the Caps now (if you weren't already).

I used to really dislike DSP, thought he was quite useless. These playoffs and that shoutout have changed my mind!

interviewed after the game, it think it was scott oak, and asked who was his hockey idol growing up and he spoke about iggy being his idol and how he tried to model his game after him

I'm cheering for Caps. When I first came to North America as a student in DC my roomie was an intern for the Caps/Wizards marketing office. I think I watched all home games live

Calle Johansson (ofc), Peter Bondra etc same year they went to the finals.

I guess OV would be the sentimental for the Conn Smyth, but for me it's Kuznetsov. He is pulling the strings, and is ultra dangerous every time he's on the ice. Also the leading scorer...

*tangent - if the caps win*

In addition to Ovie, Oshie and Holtby, can't help but cheer for Beagle. Good Calgary boy and seems like an honest player. Good story on the Vegas side, but too many players on WSH to cheer for so that's where my heart is. It's only a 2-1 lead though, so LOTS of hockey left to go.

I want Kuznetsov to win the Conn Smyth just because it will drive Don Cherry up the wall.

I absolutely love the way Ovechkin is playing. So many times we see star players make it into the dance and fade immediately. Ovechkin is hitting, scoring and playing as hard as ever. I really hope they can pull this off at home in 6.

The last game showed why cinderella-runs almost never end up winning it all. Most "cinderella teams" make their runs because of buying into the system and outworking the opponent.

However it's almost impossible to outwork your opponent in the finals, and when you can't outwork your opponent, the team with more skill usually wins.

That's not to say the series is over. For one thing the Caps might still implode, there might be injuries, the margins are tight so a few lucky bounces can turn games, and Fleury is playing out of his mind right now.

Still, right now things are looking bright for the Capitals.

Jesu....
this is the cup final playoff in the year 2018
both of these teams got here,
and they both deserve to win
and each have a bloody good chance at it.

Caps have might and tenaciousness
and we shall see how the Knights fare forward.
Vegas aren't a team to be underestimated in any circumstances , and down 2-1 in this series , is obviously pivotal in the next game for them.

Good for OV and crew these past 2 games in b2b wins.
Next game ought to be awesome.

I imagine the Knights will be a lot better in game 4 as they seem to bounce back after playing a bad game. The Capitals simply wanted it more last night as they played like a team that realizes this could be their one shot at lifting Lord Stanley. That Kuznetsov line was dominant.

Nope. Vegas has come back down to earth they are having a hard time scoring Fleury has not been in god mode. Plus I think Washington is simply too strong.

If he does win, I hope he does the birdman celebration on the way to collect the trophy.

With the Flames out, I just want to be watching good hockey.
