I mean “counterfeit” or “knock-off”. I’m glad to see this tickles so many of you, I thought a big name store in Calgary selling counterfeit items at the cost of authentic merchandise would be more worthy...but I guess I was wrong.

I’m still not following. How do you know they are knock offs or counterfeit? How do you know the company that made them aren’t liscened to do so? People are just trying to understand what makes them a knock off ir counterfeit?

By calling it a "knock-off" jersey it seems you're implying they're a copy of a legitimate movie item. I don't think I've seen licenced movie jerseys sold anywhere.
I do know some places create movie-themed jerseys. I bought my brother a "Spaceballs: The Hockey Jersey". Is that what you're talking about? It's kind of a grey area whether these violate trademarks but I don't think they can be called counterfeit.

How does one tell between an authentic Charlestown Chiefs jersey, and a fake? Not making fun; Just curious.

Reason: Been schooled on jerseys.
The Charlestown Chiefs jerseys from SlapShot are officially made and distributed by a company named Madbrothers (They also make the old Mighty Duck movie jerseys) they alone have the rights to make Slap Shot merchandise. Happy Gilmore (Boston Bruins) and Griswold (Chicago Blackhawks) jerseys are only permitted to be made by the CCM Vintage Line as it is officially NHL merchandise. This company “Headgear Classics” that jersey city has purchased these jerseys from have a reputation of buying Chinese fakes, and then attaching their “patch” on them. If you take a look at them, the inside of these jerseys are absolute trash. The sewing liner is still attached and the numbers are made
Of that same crap fabric that you see on the RBK fakes that litter the dome concourse.
Look up “Headgear Classics” and “fake” on google and you will see a twitter thread of others making the same accusations.
You will be able to see the trash that these are if you saw them first hand. I may have to go get pics.

You should have started the thread with this post, it's a lot more clear than the one you did start with. You're probably the only one here who actually knows who actually has the license for these.
