So the Jays had the same amount of hits today as they had errors. 4 a piece.

I know the start of the season gave us all a little hope but going into this season did anyone expect us to be anything but terrible??

Every position but 3rd 1st and CF we dont have a legit starter.

The talk before the season was how much can we get for Donaldson, and we’re right back there now.

Fair comment. I did expect our starting pitching to be a lot better than it has.

Especially Sanchez, someone who can throw like him with that much movement should be a Cy Young type pitcher.

Right now the answer would be "not much".
It looks like he is falling as a player rapidly.

I would imagine it has more to do with a lingering injury which can make a star MLB player look replacement level. Problem is from a trade standpoint the reason for his struggle won't mean much in terms of value and interest.

I still think the prudent move from an asset management standpoint was actively search for a buyer this past off season and only hold if there wasn't a great offer on the table.

I don't think Atkins and Shapiro could have sold an off season move to Rogers though at season ticket renewal time.

This is true but whats surprising is how we are losing as in the rotation has been abysmal. If they were even half as good as we expected this team probably has 5 more wins at least.

All I want from the Jays this season is to raise JD's value as much as possible and please god trade him to the highest bidder. To get nothing from JD and Edwin would be just flat out bad management. I'd start a scorch earth policy with this team over the next two years, the starting rotation needs an overhaul as well. Lots of work needed but luckily Bo and Vlad seem to be future foundation pieces.

Jays 2017 draft pick Kevin Smith is another guy who is really benefiting from a swing plane adjustment and is raking this year in the minors.

Between Vladdy, Bo, Biggio, Smith and Gurriel, I would think the future of the Jays infield is in pretty good hands.

With Alford, Hernandez, Pompey, Grichuk and Smith Jr the outfield might be alright as well.

Hopefully Jansen can be the real deal behind the plate.

Shame that Sanchez, Stroman and Osuna have gone to crap. That would have been a good start to a pitching staff as well with an elite closer and two mid to top end rotation guys. Basically starting from scratch now though.

I wouldn’t give up on Sanchez quite yet. He may be a delivery adjustment away from being a Roy Halladay or Chris Carpenter. I’m less optimistic about Stroman and I think Osuna is done with the Jays.
