Deadpool 2
Just got back from the theatre. I didn't think it was possible, but the sequel far outdid the original. I'm going to be laughing for days. And quite possibly the best post-credits scene in the history of film.
Anyone else see it and have any thoughts?

I also just got back from the theatre. I agree super funny, just as funny and maybe even a tad funnier than the first one. You could tell the story in this one the stakes were higher and I enjoyed that.

I liked it but didn’t love it. Hard to replicate the experience of the first one being such a surprise. I thought the story was a little bit directionless at times with no clear villain.
But overall it was reasonably entertaining and funny.

I felt like I enjoyed the original more, but like Terwilliger, it might have been because the first one came to me by surprise. I found the humor hit and miss.

Thought it was equal to the first one and lol’d throughout the movie but the end scenes put it out in front. Loved the Canada jokes!

Saw it on Friday, and I thought it was great. Very funny and entertaining. Apparently there was a Tragically Hip reference at the beginning, but I missed it. Anyone catch it or see what it was?

Just as good as the first in a different way. Funnier too I think. Well done.

Just saw it today and loved it. I was the trashy guy who brought his 10 and 12 year old to it. Swears aside, the movie had a nice message and was so funny.

It was fine. It had more than a few strong moments. All in all, it felt a bit paint-by-numbers and low stakes, though. The way they beat Juggernaut was cringe-worthy. My enjoyment was tempered by the awkward dude sitting next to me who laughed really hard at everything, regardless of whether it was at all funny. I'd say the first was better.

I saw it and enjoyed it. Several of the in-jokes made me snicker.
I also really liked the fight between Juggernaut and Colossus. Right up until everyone else joins in. When just those two are going at it, that was a great melee matchup between bruisers.

I recall watching the first and thinking this is very effortfully funny. They tried every scene to be super, duper break through the 4th wall funny. This one like that?

Yeah, they have that pattern down in this film as well.

I heard it was because of Stan's recent health and legal issues so they couldn't put him in the movie.
But how in the hell did I miss Brad Pitt? Did I blink at that scene?
