surprising that Alexander-Arnold is in there, given that Walker+Trippier are clearly ahead of him and Young can play RB too. Also no idea how Rose just waltzes into the squad after all the injuries.

			No hart!!!!!!
How many fullbacks are we gonna play?

 Guessing walker plays in the back 3? With a 3 5 2

 Butland
 Walker stones cahill
 Trippier rose
 Dier henderson
 Alli
 Kane sterling

Cant believe im saying it but going to really miss ox instead henderson beside dier

Theres absolutely no depth at cm, if one of dier or henderson gets injured is it delph?

I guess if/when we go down and need a goal you take off one of them and add another attacker like lingard on and have him or alli act as the pivot

I dont get the hate for Henderson, hes an excellent CM.

The only issue you run into with him is that hes often injured.

He's a basic, meat & potatoes CM. Not overly creative, and not a top passer -- which a CM should be. He's not a ball winner like Dier, .. he's the James Milner of CB's. On Liverpool he only needs to take the ball from his CB's and dish it forward 5 meters, to those world class attacking 3. That's the difference between a warm butter slicer @ 90% distribution, and a run of the mill @ 80%.

For example, look at Carrick's pass just this past weekend, for United's goal. |

First of all...no. I'm not watching Manchester United on purpose and secondly, hes the best you've got.

And I think you're underrating his passing somewhat.

Hes not in the upper echelons of CMs in the world or anything, but you could do worse.

no Laporte or Payet either. Such an unbelievable talent pool.
Great to see Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard make it. Such a wonderful defender.

They should be good for the QFs minimum.

Although the French historically hold a poor record of attack in Russia...

But basically i agree on him being meat and potatoes, if you rated all his skills they would all be like a 6.5 out of 10, hes a great squad player and seems like a good guy in the room, i imagine hes vice captain too, but he just doesn't fit with the team

I would have rather had big jonj in there beside dier, pinging balls up to the front

The way the team is constructed, the worry is who is going to be attacking, since neither dier or henderson really get forward well, so if we have 5 at the back it leaves the front 3 isolated, whereas if there was a cm who could attack a bit its more balanced

As it is now its a very defensive setup
 |
One of the things that England have been missing has been that character.

He might not be the greatest CM, but hes always there to stand up and be counted when it matters.

			Ideal Croatia 11:

 ..................Mandzukic

 .............Kalinic - Perisic

 ........Rakitic - Modric - Kovacic

 Lovren - Strinic - Vida - Corluka

 .................Subasic

I love me some 4-3-3 and I think Croatia has the horses for it. But it's unrealistic since most teams play not to lose.

Mid field and defense are nothing overly special honestly. France has little cohesion as a team with so many players being rotated in and out. I don’t see them doing much past the round of 16. A very unbalanced team that looked very poor in qualifying. Their forwards will have to carry the load.

That could be the best middle 3, of anybody.
Just service Manzukic and should get them out of Group stage.

Kroos-Ozil-Goretzka. Coutinho-Casemiro-Fernandinho, Isco-Iniesta-Bousquets(David Silva Thiago as well, not too sure how they will line up)

Not the best midfield 3, very good but Kovacic and Rakatic are not near the level of Modric. The others are far more balanced with elite talent.
