Yeah, I don't get why people say he's been so great. He has flashes of brilliance, and then completely terrible moments.
The most inconsistent player on the Jets by a long shot.

Short term it looks bad. But Murray was definitely the better choice for the Pens long term. Murray is only 22 and already has solidified himself as a starter. Is he the best starter? Probably not, but I'm sure he will be one of the top goalies in 3-4 years.

Long term the Pens are going to decline they have a 2-3 year window still open, so I'd say Fleury was the better bet.

That and the Pens could have traded Murray for a Kings ransom. Hard to critizize the cup winning team...Im still shocked they gave away MAF though.

Getting Smith was a good move...It was also after the expansion draft. Pens obviously had a massive ask for MAF and ended up getting nothing.
