Just tuning in...
Glad there's still hockey to watch... but should we be worried about Bill here?

McDingleberry wins it for Canada in OT. Cue the TSN circle jerk.

McDummy in OT. What the hell was going on with the Latvian making a line change in the middle of the shift?

Nope. If Canada wins, it is great coaching. If they lose, it's too many Oilers.
We're good.

They described his goal against Norway earlier in the tourney as Bobby Orr-esque. I couldn't believe my ears.

That first save the Latvian goalie made off McDoofus there was amazing. Bit of a fluke that he managed to tap the puck out of mid air to put it in.

Fluke?
Was a great play by McDavid after a great save by the goalie.

I wonder what the backstory is with Gudlevskis, his play vs Canada has been several tiers higher than his norm

He's the same goalie who almost singlehandedly beat Canada in Sochi isn't he?

Starting to laugh.
Noname Latvia with Hartley 1 - 1 Star Canada with Peters.
Nice battle of previous and current Flames coaches. I start to worry about Peters...

Now, the standings in Group B see...
USA : 16 points
FIN : 13 points
CAN : 12 points
DEN : 11 points
LAT : 10 points
Latvia and Denmark play tomorrow, with a berth in the quarterfinals on the line. Whoever wins gets 4th in the Group (assuming Canada beats Germany tomorrow).
The Finland-USA game goes first tomorrow, so Canada will know what it needs to do to get second (or if it's even possible). Any Finnish win will mean that the best Canada can finish is third. A Finnish OT loss will mean that Canada must win in regulation to get second. A Finnish regulation loss will mean that Canada can get second with any win.
Tomorrow's games: Finland-USA is at 4:15am MT and Canada-Germany is at 8:15am MT.

And that Peters played almost 2 lines at the end of the game.
Come on. Its Latvia and not NHL level opponent

That Hartley can sure coach has a roster with no NHL notables & holds off a Mcbaby NHL line up
to a 1-1 tie forcing OT.
Out coached Peters.
Forces the USA all stars to an OT as well.
The Flames would not have had that embarrassment of a record vs the Oilers under Hartley the last 2 seasons, what was it 1-7 or some nonsense.

The most dominant team we've ever assembled had their biggest struggle against Latvia in 2014

Actually the Danes could finish as high as 2nd with a win. 3rd more realistically, assuming Canada and USA win their games.
