The Jets have better talent on their roster. But it's the being a team that has got Vegas this far.
I think the Jets should win as Vegas has not come across a team with the depth that Winnipeg has. But I expect Vegas will be much better next game and won't go out easy. In a team game the best collection of individual talent doesn't always win.
It is pretty obvious that a lot of Vegas success can be attributed to playing as a team.
Because of the high talent level of several of the Jets players it is not as obvious that the Jets have the same focus as a team, but I think they do.
Perreault, Little and basically every other Jet player outside of Schiefele and Wheeler have played up and down the line-up as assigned. Myers has been a default #1 pairing d-man for years in his career and he is thriving on the 3rd pairing.
In both Vegas and the Jets the sum of the parts is better than the individual parts. There are better parts on the Jets.

You can make a similar argument for Tampa Bay. Lots of talent but they do play together very well too. The Jack Adams winner seldom coaches a team that was expected to do well at the start of the season. Although I think Cooper and Maurice will be top 4 in this year's voting with Gallant.
I think Vegas takes the team play concept to a pretty high level. But I think they have gone as far as they can with it. Fleury will need to severely outplay Hellybyuck for them to win. But Hellybyuck has not shown any signs of having his game fall off where that is going to happen.

I just don't think Vegas matches up well with the Jets. No offense to San Jose or LA but they don't have the guns like the Jets. Adam Lowry for me is just an absolute nightmare for other teams. Jets in 6.
^^We will all see how it plays out but its good to see Laine really picking it up in this game and indicates good things for him ahead. It usually takes awhile for young players to step up their game in the playoffs. One thing I like about the Winnipeg goalie is that he really seems to play well toward the end of games to shut things down, he can be beat earlier in the game but once he warms up its very hard for the opponents to get a goal.
Also the fact that Vegas had a player like Reaves in the lineup shows a lack of depth on their part, he would not have made it into any of the starting lineups of the three other teams in the playoffs.
How idiotic of a statement ... read your own post.
Whoever wins this round, if your a Jets fan, it sounds like you've already conceded.
FYI 'much better' remains to be seen.
I didn’t mean any offence to the Golden Knights or yourself. There are many great players on the Golden Knights. 81, 71 and 19 are awesome and Schmidt, Miller and Theodore are fantastic on the blue line.
Look at it positively: I’m wrong a lot and I just gave you the blessing of making fun of me for my opinion if the Jets don’t win. I said the Jets are much better (not just better but much better) and I’m sticking to it so it’ll be twice as much fun for you if the Knights win.

haha , thanks Nelson
I wish you well.
and the Jets.
Lost in the goal review was the play made by the Jets #7 D-man.
What a system and confidence that allows the #6 D-man Chiarot (with Kulikov and Morrow and Poolman in the stands as solid replacements) to pinch in take the puck around the net and create a solid scoring chance.
Vegas is turning down so many opportunities with the puck along the half-boards, and taking the puck into the corners instead of attacking the front of the net. Jets are defending the corners well.
