You don't have to apologize for taking advantage for what your opponent gives you. Jets were the better team and are full marks for the win. It's just tough to see an anticipated game 7 turn into a non-contest because of a goaltender meltdown. Predators will have to evaluate the goaltending position in the offseason as the last two playoffs it hasn't been that great and it's really hard to win a cup with substandard goaltending.

Hate the Jets as much as the next guy, but what a bizarre take. They definitely earned the win here...timely, opportunistic scoring and a solid defensive game to back that up. Goalies have bad games, sure, but you still have to generate the offence to actually take advantage of that. Jets deserved this one.

Jets are red hot and the Predators have been stuck in 1st gear for a while now. I will know how this series will go after the 1st game. It should tell us a lot about how each team is at this moment in time, and that's all that matters in the playoffs. If you get hot at the right time, you can go a very long way (see Ottawa last year).
Putting my feet to the fire, my gut says Winnipeg in 7.

only a matter of time turned out to be wrong though.
i didn't think sitting back was the right play on the Jets part, but they had a 2 goal lead with 9:00 left in the third... even without the PP, Nashville was going to be hard pressed to score, much less tie the game.
