Good for him I guess. Not a lot of NHL assistant vacancies this year so I suppose it can't hurt to take a head coach job in Europe.

So many Flames coaches get fired here and then are gone from the NHL completely.
Kinda tells you something, doesn't it?

Yeah unfortunately this is usually the case more than not although Gulutzan landed on his feet in an assistant role. I don't wish anything bad on these guys. They probably put their best efforts in and it just didn't work out.

I am sure Mr. Cameron did to the best of his abilities while here, and so I harbor no ill will.
While I wish his abilities had yielded better results, I still wish him and any former Flames staff future success - so long as it is not to the benefit of rivals anyway.

Spending a season in Vienna in a no pressure situation sounds pretty good to me. After the stress of coaching in the NHL, he's probably looking forward to it.
