Can someone help me for a disagreement IRL: Does that rule (penalty at the end of OT means not allowed to shoot in the shootout) exist in the NHL too, or just an international rule?
I'd like to know if Johnny even practices the shoot out. It's one of the weakest points of his game. He probably gets another 4-6 goals on breakaways alone if he could improve.

International.

Only 1 point for McLotteryball. Shouldn't he be dominating over there with the bigger ice and less contact? Generational, my a**.
You clearly did not watch this game, as McDavid was very noticeable every time he skated headlong at blistering speed into the USA defensemen, and then fell down. You can't teach that.

I don't think the team really practices the shoot out that much but the players are always working on different break away moves that they use during regular drills when going up against goalies in practice.
On that note, Gaudreau has a cool shot he uses in practice when goofing around that blew me away. It's a one handed shot that he does by kicking his stick. With all that flex on his stick, it's a rocket that he can pick the top corners with from the blue line. Maybe he needs to incorporate that if he keeps having trouble in the shoot out.
On that note, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is a completely useless hockey player.
Jason Gregor on Edmonton radio yesterday was analyzing a fan proposal of RNH and a 3rd for Teravainen and Justin Faulk. He was ranting about how he's not a fan of Teravainen and he's a 60 point player at best...but yeah Faulk is a nice add in, worth more than a 3rd....than he looks at RNH and realizes....RNH has exactly 0 seasons with 60 points to his credit.
Edmonton people seriously over value what he's worth. He's not some scoring former number one overall pick. He's a guy who's career high is 24 goals, and 56 points. What I call a name brand player.....a player who's name is worth more than the players on ice contribution. Much like when the Canucks traded Nick Bonino for Brandon Sutter. The Canucks paid a premium for name, the Penguins got a player who was every bit as good or better plus other assets.
