Well they just brought Gurriel Jr up from AA straight to the majors so it's certainly not crazy or unheard of, however he is 5 years older than Vladito.

Personally I am more than OK with the organization taking their time with Guerrero Jr. There really isn't a position on the field for him to play regularly, as I see him either at 1B or 3B which are both occupied by pretty damn good MLBers. He gets more at bats this way and can continue to get better. He is still only 19 years old, which is crazy to think, and I think his conditioning is something that could be improved.

Plus the sooner you bring him up the sooner he hits free agency. Plus I still see this team as a bubble WC team with or without Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Gurriel Jr. is certainly solid defensively.

Twins defense is imploding here in the 9th, bobbling the ball everywhere. That's a shame.

Nice! Osuna made it a little more interesting than I'd like but a win is a win. I'll take it!

What you mean a .160 batting average and a sub .500 ops isn't good enough for a DH?

I'd take a 1 armed Donaldson over him any day.

Good effort. Got some help with some terrible defense from the twins but I'll take it.

As for Morales agreed his decline started last season and has continued to regress. At this point I would put whoever isn't Fielding out off Granderson and Pearce in the DH. And then if Donaldson is ready for hitting before fielding.

There was a fastball away in his last at bat that he swung through and the look of confusion on his face said it all ... Something isn't right with his eyes or something (get it they are trying glasses) I've been there when your right on it - you know your right on it but you can't do it anymore ... Very frustrating and confusing - hard to accept but I think if they can't correct his vision (tracking) he's done... I think they are giving him the respect he deserves right now but i's hurting the team now... And sadly the sooner the better

Grichuk to the DL with a knee injury. At least three weeks they say. Hurt it on that diving catch against the Rangers.

Gift recalled. Yuck

Please come back JD, please.

Replacing a .100 hitter with a 0.050 hitter!

At some point you have to not care about how good someone is on defense when a mannequin in the batters box can get on base more often.

Just remember last season in this same situation with no Travis, Donaldson or Tulowitzki we had a combination of Goins, Barney and Coughlan eating up a lot of at bats in the bottom of the order providing a whole lot of nothing.

Goins, Barney and Coughlan combined for 16 homers and 92 RBI over a full season.

Solarte, Diaz and Gurriel Jr. have already hit 12 home runs and produced 29 RBI in one month of baseball. Gurriel Jr. has 1 HR and 5 RBI in 31 plate appearances, it took Coughlan 85 PA to produce the same amount of offence.

I know RBI and HRs don't always tell the whole story but they certainly can make you appreciate the depth this team has developed in one off season.
