A couple of those where teams thought they were being sneaky and taking advantage of an expansion team.
Columbus sent their 1st (24th overall), 2019 2nd, and the David Clarkson contract so that Vegas would pick William Karlsson and not Josh Anderson or Korpisalo.

Yup, and Florida did the same with Smith and Marchessault.
Gotta think Seattle isn't going to get those type of deals.

How do teams make these kind of evaluation errors? Is it just a flukey thing with VGK? Are there more goals on any roster if players get the ice time or play a certain style?
It's unbelievable how many guys exploded for offence on VGK compared to career averages before.

Play an aggressive style that pressures all over the ice and creates turnovers. Transition immediately to offence off those turnovers and attack down the middle. Don't dump the puck every time.

I think a tonne of it has to do with how their season started. It was an incredibly emotional time right after the LV tragedy which I think made a huge difference for the Knights in how they all bought in early.
They are a good team, but I still think they take a step back next year.
