I'm not sure if you're referring to my comments on the NBA but they've literally been caught and had to admit to match fixing, and there is a ****tonne of evidence of way more than they got caught with over the years.
The idea that the NBA has fixing is not conspiracy theory it's just a matter of to what degree.
American sports are particularly vulnerable due to the sheer amount of money in the United States.
If you're referring to the numerous comments on the NHL in this thread I believe everyone was clear on not calling it match fixing, but rather game management and poor human reffing tendencies.

Nope. I hate seeing people wish injury on players...it's just a game.
I would have loved to see Philly players just snowing him and getting in his face after every whistle though.

They were throwing stuff during play. That's dangerous.

Pittsburgh fans have been so incredibly spoiled for such a long time now. I'm betting they don't even remember what it's like to lose. Must be nice.

you know it's April when the Flyers goalies get absolutely lit up.
Sorry Moose. Finishing this series with 4.74 GAA and 85.6% svs in 4 games ... not pretty.

Well the refs are a powerhouse. No accountability and no recourse for terrible calls, they're unstoppable.

Actually I think they were referring to the current back-to-back Stanley Cup champions with the best player in the world.

Flyers likely lose regardless but still, that's a rough way to watch it go down.

Refs shouldn't be the story in this game. The Flyers played a very sloppy game and were horrible on defense.

I feel like this is pretty much on Radko Gudas. Pens wrecked him with basic hockey.

On that angle it looks like more of a slewfoot than a trip to me. Even more egregious.
Ref was right there, it boggles the mind that was let go.

Regardless of how things were going, when a team is down one, puts on a ton of pressure, forces a penalty, continues pressure, forces another one and the refs let it go immediately leading to a series ending goal, it's pretty hard for it not to be the story.

And up until that point, the Flyers had allowed three straight goals against involving fairly egregious errors. That should be the story.

I feel bad for the Philly goalie. His D was very sloppy.

Ok suppose Couturier did fall and the refs felt letang played the puck and didn’t call a penalty. Whatever.
The whole point is that he wasn’t anywhere near the puck and didn’t impact the play.
There was no penalty . Philly was caught making a bad change. They played a crap game, deserved to lose and lost
