Next two seasons we win a total of 35 games.
Finish last in the league and lose the lottery both times.
Panic in season trades to get rid of all our best players.
Move the team to Houston so that Edwards can pocket $700M.
Houston Thunder wins back to back Stanley Cups in 2022, 2023.
All because we hired Peters.

Somebody who played the game the right way, in the trenches, along the boards, in the penalty boxes. Only then can we ever hope to succeed.
I have already been emailing these publications to update their lists to add Bill Peters, because after his two years in Calgary he will have to be considered the worst coach ever.
How can he not be the worst coach with all the hatred and criticism about the job he has done and he has probably not even talked to more than a couple of players at best.

Holy good holy ghost. Can you honestly just S. T. F. U.? You're adding nothing to the discussion. This is bordering on spamming the thread.
Take a break for a while. We know where you stand on this. Back away from the keyboard until something relevant to the discussion comes up.

its based on the handful of articles i've read, all the media opinion and statements that he plays a similar system to GG, a couple of games i've watched with them playing randomly on the centre ice
Basically they do the same frustrating D to D back pass that drove me nuts all season while watching teams with worse D corps than ours move the puck quickly and attack on the fly.
theres just way more red flags than you'd have with an established coach like Darryl or AV
I would be WAAAAAAY more comfortable with this hire if i could read even a single article or quote where it says he adapts his systems to the roster he is given. but I haven't and it seems hes gonna be another square peg round hole coach
Interesting, I thought the guys on the radio speculated it was $400k. Thanks
I didn't hear the interview so I can't comment but I also can't fathom someone leaving a $1.6M guarantee for next year for a job that paid a quarter of that. My best guess is he'd be making closer to $2M (a $400k increase).
The game early in the year Carolina beat us, I was at the dome and was quite impressed with how they played. Their record wasn't great, but their roster wasn't too great either. Same system (some continuity), better players, fresh start, might work. That's all I got.

I took Bunk to mean that Peters' system that was on display in Carolina with better players would yield better results. Not that Peters and Gulitzan employ the same system.
