I think Sutter might come here just to coach Tkachuk, if there’s a player in this league that is the prototypical sutter player, it’s Tkachuk.

Trotz, Ruff and Tipett. All respectable experienced coaches but kind of meh given what some of them have had to work with.

Treliving next coach not you & Malones buddy the worlds most boring coach
Dave Tippett & please don't say he was a "good" coach for Arizona they sucked an annual lottery pick team under Tippett.
Last 5 seasons of non playoff garbage hockey under Tippett and that unimaginative trap BS. No we do not want!

With the situation in Raleigh starting to resemble "My Cousin Vinny" Viola's handling of the Panthers a few years back, I have a feeling there are a bunch of guys around that team that are looking for an out.
He may even take his chances without an offer.

At first I was all in for AV but I think D Sutter is what this group needs which is a stern hand. So my vote is Sutter. If it is Peters I am going to be very upset, tired of this losing culture year after year.

I wouldn’t assume for a moment that Darryl’s desire to come back here is a given. He was asked to resign by Ken King; he did not want to leave. He will need to be convinced to return. I also think that Treliving’s desire to manage a superstar coach, who was in his shoes prior to him, may not be too overwhelming. So, overall, these two factors are a strong force against having Darryl back. Going for it could be Darryl’s professional ambition to finish on a high note in Calgary and being closer to Viking.
I don’t really buy the ownership meddling conspiracy theories. Even if Burke tells Treliving whom to hire, I believe he’d rather quit, if it is against his choice. I really hope the pro’s of having Sutter here will outweigh the con’s for Treliving.
So, we do need the two star paths to align here.
