While the world points at Bill Peters for the now vacant Flames job, don’t discount the name Darryl Sutter. He has maintained a strong relationship with ownership.
Would be interesting to see who they would bring in as assistants.

Sutter is best with strong assistants - for the most part Stevens ran a lot of the systems and practices in L.A.

God, please, pretty please, no Bill Peters, pretty, pretty, pretty please. Enough of these silly experiments!..

Brad, just call Darryl and get it done before Edmonton does!

Because our management traded our 1st round pick and many other picks to compete. To compete now.

Brad Trelving, and I'm not exaggerating, but barring trades he can skip the entire first day of the draft.

You dont trade away all of your draft picks if you're still rebuilding.

If Sather still has a say in anything, I can't see him doing that for Calgary.

I feel like what Brad is getting at is there was a whole lot of misreading this team, not just from coaching but from.him as well.

Anyways, nothing happens if you dont try.
And trying could be as simple as: trying to make it work, given the team was just in the playoffs months before.

Dumb quips aside, you seemed to miss the point. Firing the coach in April seems pretty fair, given the number of games played from November to April and not just the results, but the problems that became clear through those games. Take away those games, and all you have is “Maybe this was the problem, let’s see!” which is a pretty poor way to go solving problems with multiple symptoms and multiple roots.

“Let’s just keep shooting down symptoms without knowing the root cause.” Great if you’re a hypochondriac, bad if you want to actually get healthy.

Always best to start treatment when you’ve narrowed down the problem. This isn’t an episode of House.

Well so far Brad is basically saying what Bingo has been saying, which we've been mocking.

"Continuity" is one of the buzz words. So they don't like having to change coaches but they simply didn't have a choice given the performance of the team as a whole. Under-performed.

Treliving also said, "We have some of the wrong players." Ouch.

"We have a lot of work to do on our roster. Including making this decision."

My daughter goes to the same dance place as the Sigalets' daughter, apparently Jordan was exiled to eastern Alberta or something a couple years ago (that's what his wife said, anyhow). Has anyone actually seen him around the team?

Sutter worries me in the sense it would not be a typical GM - Coach relationship with Sutter's relationship with ownership.

When Brad looks down he kind of looks like Al Bundy.

-Special teams a big part of the reason for his decision.

-Lack of depth scoring played into it as well, saying they relied too much on a small handful of players.
