Calling someone a bum is calling them a bum. Using insults when talking about his job, the thing he spends his life dedicated to, and pretending that’s its not a big deal because you’re not insulting him as a person is disingenuous.

Every game thread for one. Stuff about intelligence, arrogance, etc. I disagree with plenty of what he does. I don't doubt however, that he is a smart guy and knows more about coaching than I ever will. And I'm not about to read his mind and comment on arrogance or "having to be the smartest guy in the room".

All I know is I've read about his kids reading what's said about him.

You have a funny idea about what policing is. In every post I've made I've said people can say what they want.

Where? The only thing I've seen here about him personally is he's a great guy and well liked by the players and is a good person in general. He's just not a good head coach, hence some people say fire this bum because he's not a good head coach.

He was a bad coach. If you want to argue whether the Symantec’s of bum vs. Bad vs. Terrible then go ahead but inno way has anyone insulted him as a person but you need to be able to express displeasure with something using words stronger than “not the right fit”

That’s like giving GG and the rest of the team a participation trophy for “trying really hard to be better this season.”

LOL. Find me one post where I said anything like that in any thread, PGT or otherwise. Perhaps you are mistaking me for someone else. I don't talk about anything in a GT except for the play at hand. In PGT threads I generally don't post after a loss.

Which posts have insulted him as a person? Examples (I’m sure there are some, but they seem precious few and far between especially given what went on this year).

I did just see someone post a picture of Peter Chiarelli’s daughter in the Edmonton thread and suggest she had his hairline, but you know that’s just funny. Not classless like calling a bad coach a bum.

I don't agree, I think you sign up to do a job. But that's not really my point. I prefer people to be treated with a bit of respect and humanity. I actually think that applies to well paid people as much as those who aren't. That's just how I am. So I asked the question.

Obviously a lot of people here want to be able to call a coach or a player names and enjoy doing it. And are terribly offended if someone even mildly criticizes it. To which is say, ummmm, okay. Fill your boots.
