I always find it funny how in the Edmonton thread The stuff you can say about the Oilers and the city of Edmonton knows no boundaries, but call a Flames coach or player a bum and it’s crossing the line. It’s just so hypocritical.

Angry fans call terrible coach a bum.....who cares? The moral police? Where are these moral police in the Edmonton threads?

No it isn’t.

One is crappy, classless comments to people living and working in our community who may read or hear about our comments.

The other is a humorous take on our biggest rivals who we’d call losers if they won 10 cups in a row.

So stop pretending you think they’re comparable just because people are calling you out for thinking it’s ok to make classless comments about the Flames.

But they are good people. They may not be a good fit, but there's no reason to believe Glen Gulutzan is anything but a good human being.

Being bad at your job =/= being a bad person. We can at least be respectful about it.

Calling a coach a bum is in the context of the game, can't believe that has to be said. No one is calling Gulutzan a bum in a general sense or personal sense, no one is insulting his family.

I never said anyone was insulting his family. But as for your other point, I don't think it's true. Plenty of people are posting things about Gulutzen in a general and/or personal sense. There's no game going on right now either.

Calling Gulutzan a bum is classless hahahahahaha. That’s about as mild as it gets for an very frustrated fan base.

I’m not the one calling him a bum, but I am saying he is a loser at coaching at the NHL level. He’s proven that three times now. Is that classless? This guy has behind the bench of some pretty good teams in 7 years and has made the playoffs once as a head coach and I don’t believe his teams have ever won a round even when he was as the assistant in Vancouver (though I could be wrong on that).

This is a hockey site. Calling a coach a bum is very tame. Im sure even GG has called someone a bum. Man oh man this place is getting overrun with sensitivity.
