Yah if you’ve ever been punched in the jaw, typically the side that hurts the most to chew/bite down afterwards is the opposite side.

I'm so happy I stayed up to watch all of that game!
Doughty seemed to think his team had this one locked down. Could be my irrational dislike for him though. He made such a bad decision that led to the GWG and it made me smile. Especially when the broadcasters pointed it out more than once. He followed that up with a bad pass up the middle to no one for an icing and the camera caught him talking to himself.
I think all of the Vegas players stand up for themselves and each other without question. No one seems to give up on plays or coast back to their bench.
It's fun to watch.

Pretty sure they take the team bus with all their equipment, coaching and equipment guys. Park their cars where it's secure at the dome, vs 50 plus people and vehicles parking at the airport and waiting for an airport shuttle service to drive them to the port.

Does their equipment go with the bus though?
Nope. Most teams pack a cube van, like the one Enggy was following, which leaves the arena long before a bus would. Equipment is loaded into another cube van with the equipment staff upon reaching the destination so the team bus can go to the hotel instead of dropping the gear off at the rink.
During the playoffs a lot of players drive to the charter office so they have the option of avoiding being pestered by fans. These guys don't fly out of the main terminal like your average tourist; they fly chartered planes with no public access. They're not waiting around a carousel to pick up their suitcase.
The bus is there for players if wanted but they're not forced onto it.

I think after this year that Derek Engelland could be the next mayor of Las Vegas.

Engelland sure seems to be playing well. He really does seem to step up to the challenge, like with Brodie a few years ago. Night and day when compared with the Engelland-Smid disaster of a 3rd pairing.

Was quite the experience last night at TopGolf, Golden Knights fan watch party. Tons of jerseys to be seen and everyone was cheering big hits and could follow the play surprisingly well. Lots of giveaways too like autographed sticks and jerseys.
May swing over to Mandalay Bay for Game 4. Had a blast.

What's going to be fascinating is if the Knights can walk to a cup final. They don't have to win it but it would be a first in sports....sports history. Not just the NHL but all of sport. I want this, not because its Vegas but because seeing these things in ones lifetime is something special.

St. Louis Blues made the Stanley Cup Finals in their expansion season in 1967-68.

Just read that. Sketchy (weak) road to a championship though. then crushed by the canadiens. Still counts I guess.

I mean an expansion team had to make the finals. I think Vegas making the playoffs is more impressive than that st Louis team.

Yeah it was rigged to be that way. The Vegas run is a legitimate attempt at a run into history.

Let's not forget Vegas got the best expansion draft rules ever and were the only team picking.
It would be impressive but I don't really get the historical talk. I mean their goalie won the Stanley cup last season...this isn't your grand mother's expansion team comprised of 4th liners and waiver wire pickups.

Only team picking, you have a point. Most of the team were 3rd and 4th liners that are having career years in Vegas. Funny thing about VGK waiver wire pickups...
Subban .910 Sv% 2.68 GAA
Carpenter 14 pts (9g 5a) in 36 games
Just go back to the expansion draft thread and see how dismal the picks looked.
