If the Flames had a season like the Jets and went up 1-0 in their series I can assure you the dome and city would be rockin'
I went to game 6 of the Sharks/Flames in 2004 and it was about as loud as I've heard an arena. I cant wait to go tomorrow and see how it compares.

This is what I was talking about. I'm not bashing the C of Red of course its impressive. I worded my post poorly last night.

The lead up to the game and for the fans who can't get into the dome, Calgary does that poorly in the Playoffs. They could easily use Olympic Plaza, heck even the coke stage on the grounds if they wanted to.

Unlike some here, I don't think the Wild are completely outmatched. Sure the Jets outmatch them in pretty much every category when you compare them on paper (other then goaltending). But the Wild hung around. Going into a loud building like that against the 2nd best regular season team, I thought they did a fine job of hanging around and waiting for their chances. And they also managed to get a lead.

Winnipeg really needs to stomp on their throat and not let them up. Don't give into the patient game the Wild undoubtedly will play. The longer the Wild hang around, the more likely it is they will make the Jets pay. I still think the Jets win this series. But they can't let the Wild hang around for too long.

I'm not sure there's ever been a building louder than the Dome in the 2004 playoffs. I was at most of those games and it was crazy.

No, it's just a thing he does. If you piss him off you get put on The List of Jericho. And nobody wants to get put on the list.

After the 1st Jets goal, they showed the replay and the guy right behind the net threw his popcorn everywhere. Need a gif of that.

Game 4 of the finals, brutal game to see, but probably the greatest thing I've been too outside of the Jets first home game in 2011.

I believe there were two guys behind the net who did it. It appeared to be planned, although still hilarious.

Can we please stop ruining the playoff series threads with GG comments?

If all people are getting out of watching the playoffs is more reasons to complain about the Flames, maybe it’s time for a break from hockey for a while.

I'm rooting for the Jets in this series, but this looks to me like clear interference on Stastny's part, picking Dumba. Maybe Dumba was trying to hit him, but given how he cuts back and then stumbles, it sure looks like he was trying to close on Laine.

I don't know how you can call that a pick, both players are entitled the ice, and Stastney just dropped the puck to Laine like a moment earlier.

I can see how you'd interpret it that way, but to answer your question, I see Dumba seeing the play develop and the drop pass, and cutting back in an attempt to take away Laine's space before he can get an obviously lethal shot off, but running into Stastny, who was deliberately trying to create space for Laine.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if there was a specific mandate from Boudreau not to allow Laine any unobstructed shots, even if you just clip his stick. There aren't many one-shot scorers like that in the league.

I thought just the absurdity of recommending that a coach yell F$$$!! after every opposing goal would be sufficient to know I was joking, but I guess not. apologies for the ruined playoff series thread.
