Grichuk barely missed a two run shot. Nice to see him get a hit.

Just for a little icing on the cake tonight.........
The AA Fisher Cats pummeled Trenton tonight 11-1.

Jonathan Davis went 2-4 with 5 runs scored.
Bo Bichette went 3 for 5, with a double.
And Vlad? 3 for 3, a double, a home run and 6 RBI.

 Not bad.

Also, Danny Jansen went 4 for 4 today in AAA with two doubles and a homer. That's some slugging right there.
And Biagini pitched 5 innings with just 2 hits, no earned runs, 4 K's and 1 walk. Funnily enough Dermody, Ramirez and Moll all combined for nearly the same line as Biagini in the game. 5 innings, 2 hits, no earned runs, 5 K's and 1 walk.

Twice full through the rotation now (plus Happ with 3) and it's been great. Stroman the only one struggling and really that's not something to be concerned over given his late start to spring.
Bullpen not great but good. Good enough.

Offence has been consistent. RISP very good.

7-4 start has been earned, full marks.

I see Alford played yesterday as well, down in Dunedin.
Nice to see him back already, IIRC the estimate for him was 4 to 6 weeks.

Really hoping to see a wave of high end positional players hit the MLB team over the next year to a year and a half. Replace some of the higher priced aging vets with talented cost controlled young players.

Vlad, Bo, Alford, Gurriel, Jansen sure look promising at the moment.

Schowalter and Joel Madden for me... angry little guys always screaming at the umps and ready to go off. Both of them look like heart attacks waiting to happen.
But I even found Joey Bats a little much to take at the end of his tenure as a jays fans, I am increasingly finding jawing at the umps/refs in any sport tiresome. I get the big controversial calls causing drama but arguing balls and strikes all the time, or penalties, etc... I think they should start disciplining people bad mouthing the officials a little more. Rugby is not my sport but I love their respect for officials.
