It looks pretty okay but....that is not Han Solo on screen. There is no resemblance in style, mannerisms, voice, looks. I find it jarring.

It's weird that this is out next month and I feel nothing about that. The movie doesn't look bad, as near as I can tell. But I'm not excited about it.

It’s a shame we’ve turned the corner to “gotta hate Star Wars before it comes out” now. Looks good, chewie body slams a guy, bet it’ll be fun.

They took the scene out of the Force Awakens where Chewie ripped a dudes arm out.

They really need to have that in this movie to add on to the Chewie legend in ANH where Han lets C3PO that Chewie is an arms ripping out crazy with impulse control problem

I can't wait to watch this!... in my living room... for free!

I still can't believe that they took out the coolest thing from the original star wars. Jumping into hyperspace was the best thing for me in the original trilogy. I used to rewind and rewind on my VHS tape to watch them jump into hyperspace.

Now it just looks like they plagiarized the new star trek. Well i guess Abrams stole from himself.

That trailer looks like just about any run of the mill action/superhero/sci fi but with a star wars theme.

I'm sure it will be good, but these outlier movies just don't get me near as excited as the main story.

Yeah, I'm reading this thread and wondering if some of these posters are for real. That movie looks awesome. Who the hell doesn't have $10 and two hours to spend watching that? It's unreal entertainment value.

Are you kidding? It's not unreal and it's not entertaining. Well maybe for 10 year olds or 40 year olds who have never played video games.

The original star wars was great because of the amazing special effects. Now EVERY single movie has the same type of effects but the storyline is simplistic and implausible and just pathetic.

I'd rather pay $10 every week and watch Westworld or Game of Thrones or Better Call Saul in the theatre than to pay for another Star Wars movie ever again.

I mean a free ticket for 1 day before opening night for the Last Jedi, plus free food, which would normally cost like $70, and i still couldn't be bothered to go.

Right but it's he same amount of Star Wars just these last two are clumped together and now there won't be anything for a long time. Why not just stick to the December releases? I was enjoying my Christmas time ritual.

I think this one being so close to last Jedi will hurt it in that proper hype building time was not there and lots of people didn't like tlj and feel burnt.

If you couldn't be bothered to go for all that the problem is not the movie. Haha

Haha, are you kidding me?

I don't even know WTF you're talking about with the video game thing. I've had probably 10 different video game consoles since I was 6 starting with an Atari 2600. What on Earth does that have to do with the new Star Wars movie?

I've seen every Star Wars ever made, including Return of the Jedi when it was in the theater. The prequels sucked so bad I wanted to leave. These newer ones have been fine and I enjoy them.

The storyline has always been simplistic. These are just fun popcorn movies.

Is Game of Thrones better? Yeah, so? Doesn't mean the new Star Wars isn't worth $10. Like they literally having nothing to do with each other. Your options aren't: go to the theater and see the Han Solo movie -or- go to the theater to a movie that doesn't exist, that you just made up, but you have to choose because you can only see one.

Honestly, everything you wrote was super dumb.

Maybe you're not a Star Wars fan. If not, then don't go, IDC.

Just a second here. Are you like Trump and just make up facts? It doesn't cost $70 to see a movie. What are you even talking about?

And what you originally wrote wasn't super dumb... You seriously think that every poster on this thread is going to watch this movie in the theatre?

You really think it only costs $10 a person to go watch a movie? Are you watching it at Esso Plaza? At minimum it's prob $25 per person or do you sneak in your own food?

No, it's $8.99 on Tuesday: https://www.landmarkcinemas.com/show...-country-hills. You don't have to get food.

Yes, I do think every single poster in this thread that is a Star Wars fan will go see this in the theaters. If they don't, they're not a fan.
