I look forward to McDavid scoring 10 points in every game.

I hope the Oilers hang a banner next season to mark this historic achievement.

I guess Oilers have potentially another banner they can hang up in their rafters. All time most participants at the World Championships. Right beside the Garth Brooks one lol.

im here, i dont hate the Oilers. seems like a lot of useless negativity to carry around.

enjoy the rivalry but if it blinds you to enjoying the best hockey player in the world playing for his country, is it really worth it?

Yes. Partially due to the low status of the tournament, but mostly due to his being an Oiler.

Yes. Daily. It provides me consistent gratification to stoke my own hatred for McDavid and the Oilers, to the point that these will eventually consume me. I live a very full life.

No. I don't care how fast he skates, how many crossovers he does, nor how many head-fakes he makes when driving to the net. I am blind to the significance of these things, because Oilers.

So long as McDavid continues to wear that uniform my hatred will live and grow, and it will spill out from my black soul into every thread I visit; every post I compose; every poster that I ban.

I'd rather Canada lose than McDavid tearing apart the competition.
Canada can win with McDavid in a bit role but if he's leading the charge, I'm cheering for Sweden and Backlund.

The best what now?

Sorry did you think we were discussing Crosby here?

Also... useless negativity??? You’re either looking at these situations as a sports fan or you aren’t. This isn’t negativity that is affecting people’s day to day lives. It’s a rivalry. It’s sports. Relax.

That's some pretty comprehensive hatred. A hatred I can totally get behind. Love it!

I'm a little surprised the tenderness made it. I would hope that he was called after a few better players turned down invites.

All current and former Oilers are Team Canada's priority calls for the IIHF World Championships.

They know a thing or two about winning . . . when nothing is on the line and the competition is second-rate.

(They are also always available to play in April.)
