i guess some people like watching poker, but i would rather spend my time watching sports on tv that have hitting, passing, scoring, touchdowns, scoring chances, goals, runs, big saves...action. i really dont understand how ping pong could be more exciting then any brand of football(even afl)...care to elaborate on that?

Well frankly its all personal choice, I respect the fact alot of people love the CFL..but to me its a bunch of second rate clowns punting the ball back and forth.

NHL Flames
NCAA University of Utah
MLB Toronto Blue Jays
NFL Whoever is on
CFL Calgary
NBA Utah Jazz rarely watch

I don't really consider poker a sport but the world series of poker broadcast cracks me up.

I don't mind watching the world series and those one on one tournaments they had on NBC with the pros but nowadays they hae way too much poker on TV that you end up watching some everyday schmoe playing much too often.

I don't need to see the same guys I could see by going down to Elbow River Casino go all in hoping to draw two cards for a flush draw.

The world series is great for Norman Chad as much as anything else and the head to head games are interesting because for the most part the guys are professionals and the strategy is intereting to me in those games.

They are some other good tournaments as well but those Canadian poker shows especially are tough to watch at times.

Personally I love any tournament annouced by Jesse May aka "the voice of poker". Not only does the guy know everything about poker and how it should be played, but he is friggen funny, esspecially when he works with "Parg" dam its a veritable laugh fest!
