With Carolina picking up two points they leap frog the flames into the 12th position (flames in 11th). Flames need one point out of the game tonight to leap back into 12th.

The Blues vs Avs game is fascinating because of implications. Avs could need to pull the goalie with a tie game cause Blues can't be allowed even a point. As high of stakes as there can be in regular season.

The Avs would win the tiebreaker with an OT win. If it goes to OT, we might see them pull the goalie in OT because they lose the tiebreaker with a SO win.
Nevermind, an OTL point would give the Blues an extra point in the head-to-head series, so you're correct that Colorado must win in regulation.

Why does the NHL have potato cameras to determine offsides? Get some ridiculous high resolution, high frame rate slow motion cameras so you can actually see what happened when you zoom in and slow it down.
I do not envy whoever has to make this call.
