I think they can hold off on someone buying him until about July.

I'm not trying to be a dick, it's a legitimate query I don't know a lot of the transfer markets. Once the transfer window opens I'm legitimately wondering if you see a giant club show interest.

Yeah I know, and I think that a big club will come knocking for him. It’s not even about being a dick, it’s that they’ll offer a boatload of money and that’s hard to turn down. From Salahs point of view, he wants to win (I’m sure) and so a huge club is hard to say no to.

When you say 'a big club', it's basically Real Madrid. Nobody else can really afford him this summer.

Hahha, oh man.
In Liverpool’s defense may I cite; KANE, Harry Edward.

Don't you think being English has something to do with him staying in the PL?

both for Kane and Salah it's basically staying where they are or going to Real - there's really no other option. They obviously won't be sold within the PL, and nobody else can afford them. Well, Barcelona could, but they are probably just going to activate Griezmanns 100m clause and therefore get an impact player at a fraction of the cost. PSG are already facing a battle to be FFP compliant (they intentionally pushed Mbappes fee back to 2018, so their hands are pretty much tied this upcoming summer) and Bayern never invest a lot (and frankly, they don't have to because they already have their league in a stranglehold).
It all comes down to what Papa Flo wants. Personally I see him going for Dybala instead and a striker like Icardi, but who knows.

Well there is no way Levy will sell Kane this summer with the new stadium right around the corner. But yeah, both clubs face the same issues. Liverpool just sold Coutinho and while they held out it was a foregone conclusion, basically.
I don’t know how that defends Liverpool at all though. It’s a reality of the game at this point in time.

well done Spurs. Top 4 now done and dusted for sure ... and Contes fate sealed too. Not that another loss was needed for that, but here we are.

It’s not too easy though, it’s the reality of the game. Every transfer window we see/hear that half of best Spurs players are off to whatever club because we haven’t won trophies and they will get sick and tired of that. Doesn’t that apply to anyone else? Why would Salah stay in Liverpool? They haven’t won anything, don’t appear poised to do so and surely he would get paid more to win in Madrid?
I would fear that Kane was gone this summer actually, however they’ll have 62,000 seats to fill in the fall. Selling Kane this summer would be a terrible business decision. Between that and the fact that Madrid probably only takes one of Salah/Kane, and Spurs aren’t going to be willing suitors it should be Salah. I hope I am not proven wrong.
Really though, other clubs should be working hard on getting Toby Alderweireld from Spurs. It’s pretty clear he’s gone, and still one the premier CBs in the game. I hope we sell him to someone outside the PL, if he has to go, but we sold Walker within the league last summer, so who know.

My guess is that the likes of Alderweireld and Rose are sold, but they'll hold on to Kane and Alli. Levy will eventually have to give those guys significant pay rises to keep them happy, but realistically there's just no team that can simply pay 200m+ for Kane. Just like last year, they'll sell the ones that are somewhat expendable and bring in younger replacements. I really like Alderweireld, but he's 29 now and a bit injury-prone. Why not replace him with someone like Benjamin Pavard or Harry Maguire for example? Rose is so injury-prone that you can easily replace him with some young talent like Kieran Tierney or Ryan Sessegnon.
If I were a Spurs fan, I'd be more worried about Pochettino. Several top clubs will be looking for new managers (Real, PSG, Bayern).

Pardew has left West Brom today by mutual consent after 4 months.
The best comment I read online today was "The favourites for the West Brom job are understood to be Tony Pulis, Steve Bruce, Sam Allardyce ,Mark Hughes and Alan Pardew."

ah yes, what would a derby be without some juicy rumours. Guardiola with a well-timed bombshell in response to Raiolas bitching ... now all we need is a response from Jose and the asshat-trifecta is complete.
Quote:
Pep Guardiola has sensationally revealed he was offered the chance to buy Paul Pogba in January. The Manchester City manager claims super agent Mino Raiola sounded out the Premier League leaders over a double deal for Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
[...]
Raiola has a long-standing feud with Guardiola - dating back to his time managing Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Barcelona. The agent described him as “a coward, a dog” in an interview with Dutch magazine Quote last month. Responding ahead of City’s showdown with United, Guardiola said: “Two months ago he offered me Mkhitaryan and Pogba to play with us. Why did he offer? He was interested in Mkhitaryan and Pogba playing with us? So he has to protect his players and he cannot bring the players to a guy like me, like a dog. I said no. We don’t have enough money to buy Pogba because he is so expensive.”

I'd pay real money to see Raiola, Pep and Mourinho in some sort of cage match.

Good win for Spurs. I can’t tell whether Stoke is just better organized at this point or Spurs were just lackadaisical. I think a combination of the two, but it was closer than it needed to be.
