What about the ball being thrown to Donaldson on third. Shouldn't that count as an out anyway?

Gibbons was trying to get Sanchez some warm up pitches due to the delay.

Nice to see them tie it up, the only thing that annoyed me there was seeing Grichuk swing at a brutal 3-0 pitch. Should have been basses loaded with none out. Bet he wishes he could have that one back.

Grichuk is looking pretty useless, but it early.

Grichuk strikes out a ton (career around 30% if I'm not mistaken) but hopefully the power bursts that should come will make that worth it.

So I had the game on mute, but why did the White Sox player get advanced home? Ball clearly hit the wall, not the Jays fault the guy didn’t come home.

Bases loaded and the guy is ruled to hit it off the wall you have to advance all the runners one base. (ruled a RBI single)

They reversed the entire call. Called it a hit instead of an out, and with the bases already loaded they moved everyone up a base.
Jays actually got off pretty easy on the call. An extra foot it's a grand slam. Called safe on the field and probably 2 score instead of 1.
All told 1 run against there was very fortunate.

Really not a fan of Tepera. Poor control.

They made the right call on the ball off the wall, but where they got it wrong was the guy who hit the ball passed the runner who was on first base, which is an out. That means that the run would not have been awarded as he would not have been forced in. I didn't see it but apparently the White Sox broadcast (the most homer slanted broadcast team in professional sports) showed the replay and even said that the guy should have been out.
Strange play all around.

^^ I thought that too, but then realized that because the "out" call had been made on the field already, it didn't matter where the batter ran from that point forward. He could have circled the bases and the outcome would have been adjusted back the same.
