Default April 3 with eight games.

Late OOT due to skiing and driving on hwy19.

The two games still in progress has the Knights and Canucks tied at 4-4 and the Sharks up 2-1 on the Stars.

The big games were the Panthers defeating the Predators 2-1 in regulation time.
The Lightning beat the Bruins 4-0. The President's trophy is still up for grabs.

What a come back by the Stars! They were losing 2-0 after twenty minutes. Benn scored late in the second period and then completed the hat trick in the third period, Dallas wins 4-2 and stays alive in the playoff race.

The Stars are done. Blues and Avs play each other in the final game of the regular season so that means one team is for certain getting two points.

Taylor Hall with another huge game. Has to be the favorite for the Hart Trophy in my mind.

That was a huge win for Florida. Unfortunately, nobody ahead of them is losing more than a game every once in a while, so they're really in tough to still make the playoffs, but god bless 'em for still trying so hard.

If Connor is even mentioned as top 3 for Hart Trophy then you know the NHL is rigged. There's no way anyone besides Taylor Hall should win it once Devils make it in.

-26 game point streak
-Currently on a 9 game point streak while chasing a playoff spot
-Closest player to him on his team in terms of points is a rookie Nico Hischier with 51 points (Hall is 42 points ahead)

Why not Nathan Mackinnon, then? He's one point up on Hall, similar stats, similar position in that his team was garbage last year and is on the edge of making the playoffs. I can understand the case for hall but it's insane to think that there's "no way" you could make a case for anyone else.

Hell, you could make a good case for Kucherov or Malkin, who are the two best players on two of the best teams in the league.

I'm not saying it would be wrong if Hall won but it's not remotely in slam dunk territory.

Avs might miss the playoffs...seems likely IMO

IF they make it though he is in the convo

IMO Mackinnon is a great candidate who should be nominated but he has Rantanen with him as a great support player who has 82 points himself.

Hall has had to pretty much carry the Devils from 1st overall pick to a playoff spot within 12 months.

My beef is only with all these articles coming out stating McDavid is making a run for the Hart, he does not deserve it on a piss poor team who crashed back down to earth after an unusually injury-free/everything went right type of season last year.

Varlamov gets injured and somehow that affects Mackinnon's case for MVP? If the Ave miss the playoffs with more points than the Devils and the Devils make it, does Hall get credit for geography?

Seriously the Hart debate this year is annoying as hell. Everyone has a different opinion about what makes someone an MVP, whether playoffs matter and how much, whether the best player is automatically the most valuable, why goalies rarely win if it's truly about causing more wins than other players... there are a bunch of great and valuable players you can make a good case for and everyone needs to stop moaning because other people weigh different factors differently.

If there’s one thing the CFL does correctly, it’s having a MOP (most outstanding player) instead of MVP. Takes away a lot of the grey area if you ask me.
