I was thinking, if we switch the goalie, like Gillies plays for them and Raanta plays for us, the result for tonight's game will still be the same. Our players will just shoot at Gillies' crest.

I think tonight was a glimpse into what a younger, hungrier Flames roster may look like next season. Shore - Lazar had promising looking chemistry, Andersson should have a permanent roster spot, and if Foo can play like he did tonight with consistency he should be promoted too. I don’t love Francis’ knack for sensationalizing, but his suggestion that Valimaki, Mangiapane, and Dube could get spots would excite me as a fan. Unfortunately for Treliving it would be an admission he was greedy and pushed too hard too soon, but with the above young guys the foundation for an extended window of competitiveness seems better than filling out the current roster of young guys with plugs and has beens. Also, despite Gilles being the blue chip goalie prospect I prefer Rittich every day of the week going forward.
...there has to be some silver linings...right??

Tonight Backlund, Frolik, Brouwer, Kulak and Stone were the only minus players on the team. All were -3.
They have Brouwer to blame for at least a couple of those goals against.
