Frolik’s been awful this year (particularly since returning from injury) but no way that play was anything more than incidental contact. Right call by the refs but I don’t think it was dirty or idiotic. Just unfortunate.

I would like to see if the missed shots by the Flames have gained even more separation from the rest.

As much as I’m excited by the potential of the Foo-Bennett-Gaudreau line, Bennett’s over eagerness to forecheck means Gaudreau is left playing the high slot/ center/ defensive forward role and with his penchant for turnovers and soft defensive commitment the line is a liability. If they could finish it would be different, but you can’t give up so many chances against other teams top lines.
