Class individuals leaving with class and dignity. They both gave me some quality rage episodes over the years as I yelled every swear word conceivable at the tv as they played around our defence.

One of the pretty goals (sorry Flames fans) when Henrik was sealing the deal on his Art Ross.

A reminder on their careers.

Henrik: Art Ross 2009/10; 65th all time points (1069)
Daniel: Art Ross 2010/11; 73rd all time points (1038)

Olympic gold, world championship gold (+ 2 bronze), world junior gold (+silver)

The Sedins always made a way to make Kiprusoff seem human.

They still have decent point totals this year.
Henrik was never a big goal scorer but surprised he only has 3 all year.

Never hated the Sedins. I always found their presence on that team to be odd, because they were the absolute opposite of so many of their teammates.

Class acts, great players - and what an awesomely unique time for the sport to have twin brothers play at an elite level while on the same team.

The Canucks are going to be the 31st team in the league the next 3-4 years.

Always had a respect for the Sedins even though they were Flame killers.

I feel bad for Jim Hughson. First Roberto "Glove Save" Luongo is traded, now "Henrik to Daniel, Daniel back to Henrik" Sedins are retiring... He can't make his most favorite calls anymore.

Two class players that played for a rival.

Glad to see them gone, wish it had been sooner, and I say that as a Flames fan.

A lot of the jokes made earlier in their careers didn't age well. Proved to be great players and even better people. They should exit with heads held high.

Will probably be the only brothers to both win the Art Ross, and they did it in back to back seasons.

Hateful respect.

The Sedins were a treat to watch and are great people who I hope truly enjoy retirement.

The Canucks are gonna be fun to watch next year for all the wrong reasons. Unless they bring back Vanek, I'm really not sure who's gonna bring any sort of scoring past their 1-2 punch of Boeser and Horvat. Sam freaking Gagner?

Canucks or not, congrats on their careers. Reason everyone hated them so much was because of how darned good they were.

... Tavares?

Yeah, no.

Honestly, Jim Benning with money to burn is a bad thing for the Canucks, not anyone else. He doesn't have a great track record with that sort of thing. If they were at all smart they'd use the cap space to take on other peoples' problems in exchange for draft picks and prospects while continuing to rebuild, while icing a team that contains mostly RFA deals and reclamation projects next year. They'll have Boeser and Elias Petterson and Gaudette and maybe whoever they pick this year, so they can sell fans on the future, and they're not going to win short term no matter what they do so anything else would be a waste of money and cap.

... Like I said, if they were at all smart. So no need to worry.

Burke did well to maneuver the organization into getting the twins. They didn't bring a cup to Vancouver but came close. I didn't like some of their embellishment antics at times but for the most part they were classy guys and good ambassadors for the league. Will be interesting to see how that organization transitions as they probably can offer Tavares a contract that nobody can match in dollar amount (Islanders can offer one more year I guess). Could also overpay guys like Kane if they are so inclined.

Really dreaded them whenever they were on the power play against Calgary. Could just sense the puck was inevitably going on.
