That’s crap. Watch the replay, everyone has their head turned to the play when Gio takes the slash. Smith was the only one who saw it and countered. Lucic got his shots in and it wasn’t until the whistle went and then the players turned around to see what was going on and you can literally see the guys come back as fast as they could to get at Lucic.

This notion that Lucic shouldn’t have got his three shots in is crap because the players had their heads turned focused on the play. The last thing they did was saw it and let it happen.

Gio gets hacked. He skates away and leaves Lucic right there. Smith takes offense. Hacks back and everyone is already up the ice. Gio needs to turn around and get in his face. A player other than Smith needs to get in Lucic's face. The last person who should be taking up the fight there is Smith.

He didn't get hacked! He got a major crosscheck in the back from a 260lb caveman. Which is prob why Smith took a shot at Lucic. Ridiculous to think Giordano wouldn't stand up for our goalie.

Gio didn't retaliate just kept his focus on his job, he didn't know what was going on behind him. Not sure what he could have done except maybe add some mirrors on his helmet.

Very happy we won. Figures I couldn't be home for part of the only game where we jump out to a decent sized lead lately, but am glad they pulled through.
