Is there a point to playing Johnny at this stage? Let him stay with his dad. This season is so well done Gordon Ramsey would have a stroke.

I see no reason to bring anyone up now. We should be sending anyone we could back down to help Stockton in the playoffs. What is the point of trying to win now. Waist of time.

I thought Stockton was out ?

If that's all you have to say, why don't you keep your comments in Cali, bro. What reason does anyone have to believe Foo will see ice time with anyone offensively legitimate? The M.O of this franchise is to shove youngsters onto the lower lines and play checking roles before any chance of meaningful offensive roles.
Even on defence, Kulak and Rasmus, one of the top AHL defenders, is on a "try out" the rest of the year and hardly gets any top unit pp opportunities or a chance to play heavy ES minutes. Playing out the stretch these players should be seeing huge usage as opposed to feeding the veterans who got this team into this mess more ice time.

Because you want to let your best young prospects play some NHL level hockey and get a taste of the experience etc. However, if you're not going to let these prospects play a decent role so the Chris Stewarts and Brouwers can instead feel better about themselves, then yes, you might as well not even bother.

Because they want them to succeed, gain confidence and grow into a more meaningful role where things are moving at a faster clip instead of getting walked by the other teams top players?

Also keep in mind Andrew Mangiapane is done for the season due to injury. If they felt the Heat still had a chance, they'd have kept Foo (and maybe Andersson too) in Stockton.
All of the teams in the Pacific, except for Tucson, have 8 games remaining.
The Heat are chasing Texas and being chased by San Antonio. They play two games in San Antonio this weekend. 2 wins would effectively eliminate SA, 2 losses would effectively eliminate Stockton.
If Texas goes 4-4 down the stretch, Stockton would need to go 6-2 to make it in.
There's also a chance that the Heat could catch San Diego or Ontario if either one falters down the stretch. San Diego has a tough end to the season, with their final five games being 2 against Ontario and 3 against Tucson. Those are the two teams ahead of them in the standings.
