Default Newbies...a question

So Newbies,
I approached many of you with the promise of having a great time playing this game. Those that have started this year, what do you think? Did I over promise or has the game hooked you?

Sophomores, how about you?

Ive liked it quite a bit, even though I’d say my rookie season had a bit more league activity it’s still been fun to negotiate and make trades and go on nice winning and losing streaks

I like it. Lots of learning and things you pick up. Like just cause you’re on a losing streak doesn’t mean you should make a trade and ruin your team. Like I did over the season

I have had mixed results. it almost depends on the day if you ask me. Sometimes I really look forward to looking at my game results and other times I feel like it is almost too in depth for me. It has also made me realize that I would be an absolute disaster as a real GM

I am looking forward to finishing the season as best as I can and giving it a real push next year.

Many thanks to the admins and vets in the league for the guidance and doing my lines when I am not able to.

I think the game is definitely enjoyable, how to get my computers to stop trying to treat the STS as a virus is more of a headache then anything so far.

I like the social aspect of trying to work deals out, how many conversations sort of come and go, are repeated are enjoyable as well. At least when the person offering them isnt just trying to take advantage of you.

I think it'd be a totally different experience every year, because a few good rerates could turn your whole team around.

It has also diversified what players i stat watch and hope to see succeed.

I mean, I'm winning, so it's great. I guess I'm just the best GM ever, right guys?

This has been a lot of fun for me too. Before joining this league, I'd say I was a big Flames fan, but very casual towards the rest of the league. Now, I find myself wanting the Flames to sign Oscar Dansk, only because I know he went 3-0 for the Knights when Fleury went down and has gone 10-1 since being sent back to the AHL. First pick of the second round and 3rd goalie taken in his draft year, (2013?) behind Vasilevskiy and Subban. If I hadn't joined this league, there's no way I'd even be looking at his stats. I find that super valuable to my love of the game, in real life and simmed.

I've been here just over 3 years, so I'ma junior or senior? I'm still jumping in to say I continue to love the game. My wife still hates it.

Life and work has really thrown me a curve ball this year and I've found myself struggling to give as much attention/thought as I would previous years. Like graphics...I used to love messing with those for my team. I just dont have much time now. The website stuff eats a bit of that spare time.

The other day, I randomly had a few days off of work. I literally spent about 4 hours researching overagers, going through dailyfaceoff's line ups of each team to see if there was anyone new I could sign, and talking trades. It was nice to have some time to actually look at things here. Then, I had a full day yesterday and wasn't able to log in once that day. that happens often, but I do indeed ready the form multiple times each day.
