Calling on Jobu awakened some long-forgotten powers that the Flames weren't prepared to handle.
They got their one wish, but were cursed for the rest.

If Gulutzan had watched the entire movie, he would have known that Cerrano had to get rid of Jobu at the end of the season...

Yep. Their answer seems to be lobbing in MORE weak shots from the perimeter after allowing the other team plenty of time to set up. Completely pointless, except to pad the ol' Corsi stats.
Has been devoid of any entertainment value to boot.

If this game continues the trend, we will be down by 1 before the 10 minute mark. One of the Flames Dmen will make a boneheaded play, resulting in another terrible goal against. This will deflate the Flames causing the Kings to score 40 seconds later. Gulutzan will look at the number of remaining Timeouts, which is always 1, since that word and strategy doesn't exist in his playbook. We will then come out disheartened for the third, folding and losing 5-1, because we at least get one by a Dman.
Go Flames.

If anyone would tell you a team is getting the most shots AND allowing the least in the league, you would not believe them that they have 3 wins in their past 13.
Amazing

For the Kings.
I have to say I'm really disappointed that this team is just going through the motions.
Dont bother to show a little heart and self-respect or anything.

I'm guessing I'll be the only Flames fan in attendance. I'm sure I'm going to hear a lot of #### - might as well wear my Tkachuk jersey

90% of the Flames offense is shut down for the year for various reasons. I'm of the opinion that the Flames may not even score again this year. Reason enough to be disheartened. But I definitely don't see a pack of self respect. They're trying. But the system has been shattered by the rest of the league. Tough to play in those circumstances.
Personally, as long as I continue to see some jump from Janko, Bennett, Lazar and Gillies I'll be happy. Well as happy as one can be given how this stretch drive has turned out.

I'm kinda hoping the Flames win the lottery, at least it means Dahlin won't be in Vancouver or Edmonton.

Usually those things combine to around 100% on average - Flames PDO in that stretch is 92.03.
The team has crumbled but those percentages haven't helped (especially the goaltending, Yuck).
|
I cannot even start to blame goaltending until it actually costs you games more often than naught. Those offensive numbers are beyond disgraceful and not specific to the last month of play either.

We win this one, guaranteed. Missing a ton of top players, playoffs out of the picture, everyone expecting a whoopin. Recipe for a win IMO.
