I've often wondered, given the long stretches of ineffective PP, why we don't just put stone on the point and have him rain shots down constantly. It wouldn't even need to be permanent, could just be to break the funk.
Drives me nuts when Gio and dougie can't get shots off in time or one time anything.

sure, because it's 5 on 5. PK can't block as many shots or go on as many breaks

The Pk trends now are to get in lanes now more then ever.
Stone doesn’t have the same skill and puck moving ability on the PP to be able to set up the down low play, to be able to set up the big open point shot. 5 on 3 maybe.
