Such a weak goal. Smith should not be staring down his own players for their mistakes given his play of late.

Shots are 7-16 for the Flames, 0-2 Ducks. Story of the season lol.

The only good thing in this game has been seeing Bennett. Like the intensity he's been playing with of late. It's why I'm hesitant to trade him since I feel with a different coach and system, there's a good chance he'll turn out to be the player we more so envisioned.

If the guy I’m playing this week in the finals of one of my hockey pools gets a Gibson shutout tonight I’m going to cry.

The thing is...his game was falling apart well before his injury. I think he just got tired, and burned out somewhere in late Jan/Feb.

I think Flames may have rushed him back too early. He's clearly not 100% right now. Other than the Oilers game, he's been somewhat shaky lately.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Smith opened his pads as the shot hit him. What the hell? Second guessing? Not looking? Inexplicable.

Does continuing to play Rittich and further resting Smith = the Flames still being within reach of a spot right now?
He wasn't amazing but he made routine saves that led to wins in a couple straight before the switch.

That was beyond description.
Not blaming Smith's weak play on Gulutzan, but at some point Gulutzan has to realize that his goalie is in a huge slump and the team needs a goalie. They need him to ####ing DO something.

75% of goals against smith must go through the wickets in my mind.

Sadly, that's probably game. Flames will have a hard time scoring 1 goal, let alone 3.

It really can’t be stated enough just how bad Brouwer is. All he does is occupy dead ice. He’s no use to anyone, anywhere. He just stands off to the side of the play while his linemates do all the work

Play the backup goal with their playoff lives literally on the line?
