Having grown up in Saskatchewan, I know the old geezers at the coffee shop still talk about Thatcher. Anyway...at the risk of derailing the thread, it made me think of this.....

Thatcher also told the board about how he went to Radio Shack to buy a part for his television set, waited 35 minutes in line, and then got upset when the salesman wanted his address to complete the purchase.

Well that would upset pretty much everyone.

But it is good that he is out as it greatly reduces the burden on the criminal justice system to let an elderly individual who doesn't appear to have ongoing violent episodes out of prison after a lengthy sentece. The cost of housing an elderly inmate is huge and look for more cases like this in the future.

His kids must believe him, since he is babysitting his grandkids. Wow... not sure I could let that happen to my kids.
