Nice that we still have our timeout, you know, in case we need to challenge the 5th goal.
Maybe Glen's saving them for next year?

Corsi means nothing but ifs and buts with this team. Other than the top line, this team cannot score enough.
If only ifs and buts were candy and nuts....

So often we hear that when professional athletes are making stupid plays on a regular basis, it’s because they are thinking too much vs just making the natural play. It’s just stupid that a very similar team without Tkachuk or Smith made the playoffs and 2 years later with improvements, the team is as bad as it is.
I really would love to hear GG asked who is responsible for the joke of a PP. I’m curious where he sees the problem. Scoring on that early pp could change the entire dynamic of this game but I guess that can be said for 80% of this season. A league average PP most likely puts the flames in 2nd. When you can point at one thing so easily, why is it spoken of so little within the media.

No coaching. No toughness. No defence. No special teams. No finish. No draft picks. No arena. Nothing to look forward to.

Nah. Franchise is staying in the same holding pattern as a bubble team which is what we’ve been more or less since 1990

The fan960 morning show rips on the PP regularly. But they are about the only ones

Timeout would have done nothing. Timeout after the first goal - by boys, play better on the PK. After the second - hey boys, don't make dumb passes to the other team. After the third - hey Mike, catch the puck. There s a long time after goals in this league. The timeout isn't really any longer.

I think for those of us on the other side of the argument don't think it's about him being a "good player again", because I don't think he was ever a good player (in the context of this argument, clearly he's good enough to play in the best league in the world).
Brodie had one amazing season IMO, which if you actually look at it closely, had many of the same issues we are seeing now, but masked by the one dimension of his game that actually is good.
Brodie has some amazing offensive upside and creativity, but the rest of his game is junk and IMO always has been. I don't disagree, a new coach might get more out of Brodie's offensive game, but also IMO, he's never going to be good enough defensively to be in a true cup contending teams Top 4. I think we are better off moving him.

I'm not so mad. Even they made playoffs they would be out in 4 games. And GG would stay. Now just play for future and find new coaching team after season.

Oh and by the way Brodie is responsible for exactly one goal against today where he was interfered and our big offseason Hamonic could have done something about. He might have been on the ice for two other goals but they were not on him. You're just being petulant and emotional.

Our top players (Gio, Hamilton, Johnny, Monahan, Tkachuk) have had fantastic years and goaltending was great all year. I am in the camp that this is largely on the coaching staff. Poor player utilization, poor special teams, stifling the team’s best asset (D), inability to motivate properly, trying to force a system that just isn’t working with this group. Gully and Cameron do not deserve another season (I still can’t figure out why they hired Cameron).
The way that this season is ending is an embarrassment and the entire organization should feel shame. Super disappointing.
