Yeah I think the real answer is that we didn’t (and still don’t) give Giordano enough credit for how good he is.

Quite frankly over the last 5 years he has made Brodie, and Hamilton both look better than they actually are.

They both tend to look half as good away from him than they do with him.

I'm not at all convinced the Flames' problems stem from player personnel issues so much as coaching. Why pay for all these offensively talented defencemen if you're not going to use them effectively?

I'd love to see a cleaning out of the coaching staff in the off season before they go about blowing up the lineup.

This season sucks for sure.

But we still have Gaudreau, Monahan, Tkachuk and Hamilton who are all high end young NHLers. We have Bennett and Jankowski who are young NHLers who should only get better. We have Andersson, Dube, Mangiapane, Valamaki, Fox, Parsons and a number of other good looking prospects.

We need to cut loose some of our current roster players and retool around the good players we do have.

I'm actually cheering for the knights in the playoffs I think.
They haven't been around long enough for me to hate them like all our other division rivals, and it's fun watching a team that should have been pretty poor to really exceed expectations.

Can you imagine cheering for a team that exceeds expectations?
