Excellent period by the Flames. But our lack of finish is beyond frustrating.

Just saw lazar our with backlund and frolik. It was because they were mid change, but I’ve liked his effort lately, might be a good idea to share time with those two between lazar and brower. Neither is ideal, but Lazard speed on the forecheck might help backlund create some offence. Also could help with his confidence and maybe keep him driving to improve trying to get there, instead of becoming complacent on the 4th line.

Sure...but (1) most of their high quality chances actually ended up either with no-shot or shots that missed the net and (2) they didn't score.
So naysayers will say, this is exactly the issue. The fundamental premise is that GG hockey controls the play but doesn't generate enough top quality scoring chances. There we're no high quality odd man rushes by the flames (2-on-1s, 3-on-2s, etc), the PP didn't force MAF to make any high quality saves.
When the shots are 19-6 and the flames don't score...i think it actually suggests the nay-sayers are right...

Not been in a GDT for a while but it is amazing that CP manages to look for negatives even after a good period. Are we so down on the team that everything is bad even when it is good.
Just off topic but the crowd sounds like a boy band concert, loads of screaming when the Knights are on the attack. Are there any adults there other than the flames fans?

I want Gulutzan gone as well, just saying that scoring seems to be the bigger issue.

Two more games and Stajan gets a silver stick.

This is why I don't give a crap about Corsi/Fenwick.
Execution and finish matter most.
